Who in the heck is Aricia?! I'm a writer insofar as I'm a book reviewer ... I certainly don't write fiction, but I do write a LOT, as well as being a "proofie" (proof reader) for Mel Keegan and DreamCraft, and I'm thrilled and honored to be among the very first to be invited to work on this Community. I read. A LOT. I have a passion for gay books, and people ask me why. I answer, "Because they strike a chord." Something in the mind or heart (or both) of the reader goes "yes!" ... and that's it, you found the niche where you're going to have the most fun. Some people adore Westerns -- good gods, I used to! I read reams of them. I still read the occasional Western ... anybody else got a soft spot for gay cowboys?! (If I was ever going to write a novel it would be a gay Western. Not a modern western, but the real McCoy, like ... okay. Here goes. You take the early part of Legends of the Fall, with Brad seeming to be half Indian. You throw in a saddle tramp with "a past" played by a clone of Hugh Jackman who has secrets to hide and skeletons in his closet. Good golly, have you seen him in Wolverine??? Git 'em together and throw problems at 'em; sparks fly; winter hits. Play the DVD of Will Penny. Yessir, if I was ever going to write a novel, that would be it. Don't tempt me. Question is, would anybody want to read it? That's, uh, what one writes novels for, right?) Anyway -- I have two blogs right now that I am UTTERLY neglecting because of work. Somebody has to pay the rent and put groceries on the table, and the dogs have refused to go out and get jobs with the police, the airport, the security guards and so on, so I guess it's up to me. Right now you know as much about me as is healthy. There's more, but you don't wanna know. So I'll give you a couple of links to the blogs I'm neglecting, and the writing blog I contribute to, and then -- a LIST of links to the rewiews I'm cross-posting on the wiki ... because frankly, GLBT reviews belong here, and I do believe a heck of a lot more people will see them here than are ever likely to see them on my gay book blog -- because Google sucks lately. Totally. http://ariciasgaybookblog.blogspot.com/ - Aricia's Gay Book Blog http://ariciasalbum.blogspot.com/ - Aricia's Album of hot goss, hotter bods and gay goodies http://write-edit-publish.blogspot.com/2009/04/home.html - Write Your Novel (contributing blogger) It makes sense if I start off with some Mel Keegan books, because I owe MK a few favors (more than a few...) and a big THANK YOU for inviting me to participate here!
