Our last anthology was the result of a national contest, so we drew entries from a much wider field. This year we decided there was sufficient talent among our own membership and we were right.

The Standard of poetry entries was quite exceptional and the short stories were entertainingly excellent.

The judges had to work very hard and the process was lengthy. Most poems and stories went through five judging processes. The final decisions were unanimous in both sections.

Congratulations to all who entered the 2007 contests.

Winner of the Short Story Award was Ross Duffy with his story, Lost Years.

Winner of the Poetry Award was John Willanski with his poem, The Watcher.
