The Fantasy Worlds of MK

 Much is happening behind the scenes, and MK is busier than ever. Next on the
agenda, a novel best described as 'the haunted house story to end them all.' The fact it's also a great gay novel
is a definite plus!
Then, a full-on novel of high fantasy of the gay variety. For a moment, close your eyes and imagine a rich,
vast-canvass cross between Conan and Rings, and then add gay themes and characters. This one is a real,
genuine romp ... we've already had the pleasure of reading an old version of it, which was produced about
fifteen years ago. Even that pile of dusty hardcopies scintillates, and Mel Keegan is setting aside several
months to redevelop the whole project for 2009.
After this, the next title up will be an SF story (another gay book, as you expect) set in Adelaide, SA, in
something like 2040 ... near future, with a twist of horror and a major, full-throttle
SF conclusion.
 Many readers will be asking, what about DEAD OF WINTER, but we can't put a
date on it, even now, because ... frankly, inspiration just isn't biting. MK writes according to
an inner Muse which can be accommodating or, just as easily, cantankerous. The Muse goes where s/he will ... and
where s/he wants to go right now is into haunted houses, boreal fantasy lands, and the near future!
Eventually, Mizz Muse will come around, Alaska will be on Mel's mind, and DEAD OF WINTER will happen
in its own good time. Gives us something to look forward to.

up with events in "The Mel-o-Sphere" ... including what MK is working on, editing, researching, chewing over ... and the various bees which buzz in the Keegan bonnet. " The World According to Mel is the best place to keep up with Keegan's works in progress.
