Still with us? The rates quoted on this page are fore writers, artists, self-publishers ... individuals. For business rates, drop us an email. Although businesses will pay a bit more, at this time, you're still looking at single digits, so -- no reason to hesitate! (NOTE: The reason this page is hosted at DreamCraft is that -- and this is completely weird -- the moment you put a PayPal button on a wiki page, trusty old Internet Explorer assumes the page is Phishing; up jumps the Phishing Philter warning. Opera, Fireox and Chrome have no problem with PayPal buttons on a wiki page -- there is nothing remotely "suspicious" about any aspect of this wiki!! But Internet Explorer doesn't know it, so you'll understand if this page is hosted at DreamCraft...)
We'll give you the full suite of options again, for reference, and scroll down for the dollars and sense part. PayPal buttons are right on this page. After clicking your choice, don't forget to email us with your "teaser" text and the url of your image -- and to tell us WHICH core page you'd like to be on...!
1. Grab a patch of the home page:

The simplest possible placement is in the sidebars: a cover, about 10 - 20 words of "teaser," and a "more..." link. Both the cover and the "more..." are links direct to your book's page.
A major step up from here is the cover/blurb combination, which utilizes a 250 pixel high cover image and a 50-word teaser. Give us the text in the body of an email, and the address of the image you'd like to use, and we combine both into a fresh image which can be pasted into the pages in a variety of ways. You have the front cover insert as shown above, but you can also use the same artwork like this to stand out on the core pages:
2. Stand out on one of the core pages:

This is very effective, because it jumps out of the body of the page ... and there are plenty of core pages on which this kind of insert can appear.
The same artwork can be used in combination, or as we like to call it; the double barrel:
3. The double barrel, on one of the hub pages:

We call this one the "double barrel" ... obviously, you can share the ad with another writer, or have two of your own titles side by side, for increased impact on subject specific pages:
4. The double barrel, on one of the subject specific index pages (ie, romance):

The beauty of this kind of ad is that it's not terribly intrusive -- it looks like part of the page, as if it belongs there. Ads in this format are about 250x300 each -- double that, obviously, for two ... and, if you wanted to look at an actual banner to occupy this space, it can be up to 700 wide, and looks like the traditional banner:
5. The traditional banner, on one of the subject specific index pages (ie, romance):

The true banner is quite a bit more intrusive, so at this point (all things being experimental!) we'd like to keep these to JPG images rather than flash animations, which are notoriously intrusive. A banner like this can be set into the body of the page, or at the bottom of the text. These banners can be up to 700 wide by 150 high.
And speaking of banners -- there's also the footer on the wiki, which can be major, simply because it's off the bottom of the screen! The master footer banner looks like this:
4. The master footer banner, on the footer of the wiki itself

The perfect width for a banner here is 940 pixels. 1,000 is a little bit wide, but doable. The NARC ad in the above screenshot is 1,000 pixels wide.
So the next intelligent question is -- how much does it cost to place an ad in which place?!
IMPORTANT! All positions on the home page are now booked till January 1st. Some of the positions will come available then, we'll keep you posted, no worries. There is still plenty of space on many of the core pages, some of which get just as much traffic as the home page.
How much for how much?!
